LIS Spring News 2005 |
Winter has finally left us here in the Northeast and Spring is knocking on our door. It reached 65 degrees here yesterday in NYC and is very welcomed. It has been a while since I wrote so here goes.
LIS will have it's fortieth anniversary this year and the cast looks great. Just saw Mark Goddard who came down to do the Big Apple convention here in NYC last weekend. Mark looks great and is always a joy to see. He couldn't believe how big his God Daughter Rachel ( my daughter) has gotten. Mark is wonderful with Rachel and also my older daughter Taylor. Rachel is starting to walk already and will be one years old on May 4th. Boy does time fly. I updated LIS Memories with some photos from Big Apple con last week so make sure to check them out. Don't forget to visit Mark and other LIS cast members when they are in your part of the country at various conventions. Always check our apperance section here at LIS Memories for the latest venue updates.
Voyage To The Bottom Of The Soul to be completed: a 360 page graphic novel with 200 NEW PAGES completing Bill Mumy's epic story arc.

to the previous publishers' demise!)
Due off-press sometime in July 2005.
You can pre order by going to Voyage To The Bottom Of The Soul official website. Can't wait to get my copy.
LIS Trading Cards: Rittenhouse Archives will be releasing a set of LIS trading cards this June. The set is beautiful and Steve Charendorf just sent me some of the promo cards from this superset. Can't wait till these come out this summer. Here is a link to the Rittenhouse website.
LIS Action Figures: Sci-fi Metropolis has released some nice LIS action figures. Dr Smith, John Robinson, and the Keeper are the first three being released. I can't comment on the quality of the figures as I haven't recieved mine yet but I can say that I saw prototypes for these at the FX convention in Florida this past January and they look great. You can get more info on the figures by going to the Sci-fi Metropolis website.
Season Three V2 DVD Set Delayed: Looks like we will have to wait a bit longer for season three V2. The release date has been pushed back to July 19. No reason given for the delay. The third season UK set comes out the end of April which is good news for our freinds in that part of the world. It also is being released as one box set and not split into two parts.
Australian ANZ Commercial: This past March there was a commercial filmed in Australia for ANZ company that included the B9 Robot from LIS. Kevin Burns and Sheila Allen flew over to Australia to supervise the project. Glen Ware from L.I.S.A. Lost In Space Australia fan club supplied the Robot that was used in the making of this commercial.Glen and his mates from L.I.S.A were a big help in making this commercial which turned out great. Mike Joyce from the B9 Builders Club received a video of the commercial from Dick Tufeld. The commercial looks pretty neat and is well done. Mike has the video on line and you can see it by visiting his B9 Creations website.
Well I guess that's about it for now. Don't forget about the Chiller convention coming up April 29 - May 1. Bob May and Angela Cartwright will be guests at the convention along with many more celebrities. You can get more info by visiting the Chiller web site. I hope to see some of you guys there!
