LIS News- November 2000
By: Ray Dutczak
The October Chiller convention was without a doubt, the biggest Chiller to
date. The lines for admission on Saturday didn't slow down until 3 PM.
Billy Dee Williams from Star Wars James Doohan, Scotty from
Star Trek, along with Kane Hodder from the original Friday the 13th, were all
on hand at this spectacular Chiller.
From our LIS alumni, was Chiller's favorite son Mark Goddard and Bob May.
This was Bob's first Chiller show, and he did have a great time. Both Bob and
Mark were fantastic to fans as they smiled and signed autographs all weekend
long.
I sat with Bob and Judy May throughout the convention, and we managed to get
through the hordes of fans that lined up for autographs and picture taking.
Bob commented how Chiller is without a doubt, one of the better conventions
that he has attended.
Kevin Clements has been putting on Chiller conventions for 10 years now, and
Chiller has just been getting better and better every time out.
On behalf of myself, Bob & Judy May, and Mark Goddard, we would like to thank
Sue and Kevin Clements for having the four of us as their guests at this
spectacular Chiller.
If anyone has never been to Chiller, make plans to attend the Spring of Fall
show. The next Chiller is slated for April 27- 29. Keep checking the Chiller
website at www.chillertheatre.com for more info. Also, keep checking my
convention section, as you never know who from LIS might attend the April
Chiller. We might just have a few surprises in store.
