LIS News- February 2000
By: Ray Dutczak Lunar models will be releasing The Keeper model kit, which features the keeper. I saw some photos, and this truly will be a winner. They are also working on and Anti-matter man John Robinson in the future. I am a big supporter of Lunar Models, and I believe that their kits are the best out there. You can check out their web site at www.lunarmodels.com The cast will be busy for the upcoming year, as many are already booked for convention appearances. Please check the convention section on my site for the latest information. I will be updating it as soon as more convention appearances become available. As you all know I am in constant communications with the cast, and here is an update. June Lockhart continues to make appearances all around the country, and she is a pleasure to work with. If you haven't met her yet, I recommend that you do at one of her appearances. Mark Goddard continues to enjoy teaching in Massachusetts. He just completed an independent film this summer called "Overnight Sensation". He plays agent Abe Pollack. I had the opportunity to view 15 minutes of it on tape, and he did a fine job with the role. Mark and I also visited the original LIS Jupiter 2 cockpit in Long Island. This visit was video taped, and it will be released in the future. Mark is also doing numerous conventions and he has a lot of energy. He loves his fans, and he goes out of his way to make sure that the have a good time. Jonathan Harris whom to me is "The Great One", has a great amount of energy as well. He appeared as "the mechanic" in Toy Story 2, whom fixes a broken Woody. He gave a fine performance, and as always I enjoyed watching him on the screen. Jonathan continues to do voiceovers, and is deemed "The King of Voiceovers". I will be interviewing him in the future, so check my interview section from time to time. Bill Mumy has been busy promoting his CD "In the Current", and he too has been busy doing quite a bit of voiceovers as well. In addition, he and Angela Cartwright are collaborating on writing a novel together. Look for it this Spring. I'll keep you posted as to when it is completed. Bill has so much positive energy, and he is always a great joy to see. I have the opportunity of seeing Bill at The Visions Convention in Boston, July 1999. Whatever tasks he puts his mind to, it turns out to be a winner. I admire how successfully he portrayed Will Robinson, especially since he was a young actor. He gave true meaning to the role, and his is the ultimate LIS fan. He had genuine love for the show. Angela Cartwright was in Australia promoting the new Fox studios. Her store, Rubber Boots is now on-line. I suggest that you visit her site at www.angelacartwright.com. She also continues to appear at conventions, and she is also quite a photographer. She photographed all the photos for Bill Mumy's In the Current CD. Marta Kristen is raising her granddaughter and she is busy making television commercials. Her web site will soon be completed, so look for it. Every time I ask her when the web site will be completed, she says, "Soon." So, that is it for now. Look for more news coming soon. As always, support your cast, as they truly do appreciate every one of us. Ray
