MAY/JUNE 2000:
Hi everyone, Spring has left us and now we have begun summer. First off, The Fantasy World of Irwin Allen has been released on DVD. Our very own, June Lockhart, Bill Mumy and the Robot, played by Bob May, host this special edition DVD. The DVD is spectacular and it includes bonus featurettes from Land of the Giants, City Beneath the Sea, The Man from the 25th Century, and The Towering Inferno.

If there was anything that you wanted to know about Irwin Allen's works, it's here in this tribute. Kevin Burns has really outdone himself on this DVD with all the bonus footage from the Fox archives.

May and June were busy months for some of the cast members traveling to conventions around the country. The weekend of May 13 I traveled to Chantilly, Virginia, to be with Mark Goddard and Marta Kristen at a Slanted Fedora Convention. The Convention was pretty well attended even though Dave Goudsward showed up. Mark and Marta were very well received. They performed a stage skit called "Sure Things," Saturday night at the fans' dinner with the stars.

The fans loved it. Mark, Marta, and myself would like to thank Dave Scott for all of his hospitality and for having us at his convention.

The weekend of May 19 I traveled to Detroit, Michigan where Mark Goddard and Angela Cartwright were appearing at The Motor City Comic Con. I had the pleasure of sitting with and helping out Angela on this trip. Angela is always fun to be around and she is always gracious to all her fans.

I met some members from the LIS4ever Internet list, of which I moderate with my partner and founder Tammy Wall. We all went out to dinner Saturday Night with some list members, and also Mark Goddard.

During dinner, Mark told us of his many Hollywood and LIS. travels. The dinner was a blast and all of the LIS list members went away very happy. Anyone interested in joining our LIS. Forever discussion list go to www.lis4ever.com for more info. On our list we have some of the most devoted LIS Fans around.

The weekend of June 24-25 I attended New York Comic and Fantasy Creator's Convention with Mark Goddard and June Lockhart. The convention was held in Madison Square Garden, and it drew a pretty good crowd for three days.

On Saturday we brought June Lockhart a birthday cake, since it was her birthday that weekend. She was trilled. All in all, it was a good convention. Keep checking my convention section, for I would be listing their appearances as soon as I find it out.

The "Great One", Jonathan Harris just finished some voice-over work for an animated feature film called  Herbert's Brain. Jonathan plays the Brain, and he had a great time doing the voice. I will list here when the animated feature will be released, so keep posted.

June Lockhart is back on General Hospital. She plays Felicia's grandmother, and she has been making a few guest spots from time to time. It's amazing how long June has been on General Hospital.

Now that school has let out for the summer, Mark Goddard is traveling around making convention guest appearances, At the recent New York convention, CNN dropped in to speak to Mark and June. Bill Tess, a CNN reporter, asked Mark "What is the most frequent question asked to you at a convention?". Mark's response was that people asked "If Don and Judy ever fooled around?".

Angela Cartwright is busy finishing up on a book that she co-wrote with Bill Mumy entitled "To What Purpose". Angela and Bill are also working on a sci-fi thriller called "Overload" that should start filming again this summer. Make sure to stop by and check out Angela's web site at http://www.angela-cartwright.com

Bill Mumy has been busy doing some voice-over commercial work for Walmart and Honda to name a few. He also recently finished a CD entitled "Pandora's Box" which should be out soon. Be sure to check Bill's site at http://www.billmumy.com.

Marta Kristen has been attending conventions around the states, and she recently performed a short play with Mark Goddard and I mentioned above. Marta and Mark were both in the play, and to the fans' delight they were great. For me it was very special to see them give a live performance. Marta is very busy raising her granddaughter, Lena.

Bob May has just finished his follow-up to his 1990 "The Robot Memories" called "Robot Memories Act II". Bob has informed that "Robot Memories Act II" will be out at the end of July. "Act II" will be a nice follow-up to Robot Memories with many surprises in store. "Act II" will feature some special footage from Bob's 1996 Robinson Robot Body and soul Australian Tour. There will also be footage from La's 1998 Return to Earth convention and much, much more. I will the availability date of this video here.

Bob will be coming to October Chiller Convention, held in New Jersey. This will be Bob's first Chiller experience. Anyone planning on coming to the October Chiller should make it a point to stop by and see Bob. For more info about Chiller check out http://www.chillertheatre.com.

So, that's all the LIS News for now. As always, support your cast and keep the faith. Be safe, well, and most of all happy.
