Happy Halloween
Hi everyone. Well Summer has flown by and now we are into Fall. Leaves have just begun to change color around here and before you know it Winter will arrive.
LIS Season Two part one has hit the shelves with mix reviews from fans. Some LIS fans love the set, others don't like it. The split of season two has not been recieved well. I for the most part do like the set. My only complaint is basickly with the box cover art. Not too crazy about cartoons of the cast with photos of their heads on the cartoons. I have a full review of the part one set in the dvd section of this website. Part two of season two is due out November 30th. You can pre- order it via the Fox website.
I was in L.A. this past weekend for the Ray Courts HCS. All of the surviving LIS cast members were present at the convention. I sat with Mark Goddard at his table as he greeted all the fans. The show had a great turnout and had many wonderful dealers selling LIS related stills and toys. Bob May, Bill Mumy, Marta Kristen, Angela Cartwright, and June Lockhart all looked great and the fans really enjoyed visiting with them. There also was a Robot replica positioned behind Bob May and fans were allowed to take photos with cast members and the replica. A great time was had by all. I was gifted by the cast with some great autographed photos which are enclosed here. After the convention me and Bob May went over to Super LIS fan Kirk Roderick's house for dinner. Members from the Lost In Space Memories internet list also came over to Kirk's house for some food and fun. So nice meeting members who I have become friends with via the net. Nice to place a face with an email addy. What a great time we all had conversing about LIS, and listening to stories from Bob. The food was great too. Can't thank Kirk and his wife enough for hosting dinner and opening their house to us. Make sure to check out Kirk's LIS website as it is one of the best on the net. I will have a full report on the HCS coming soon along with some photos from the show.
Speaking of conventions, This upcoming weekend Oct 8 - 10 in Coventry England the Autographica show. Cast members from LIS, LOTG, and TT will be at the show. Also, October 28-31 the Grand Daddy of all conventions the Chiller Convention will be taking place in East Rutherford NJ. Mark Goddard, Bill Mumy, and Bob May will be on hand to meet and greet the fans. The B9 Builders Club will also be there with all their great displays. Definitely not a convention to miss!
LIS or any of Irwin's TV shows are still not on the air here in the U.S. I am still puzzled that the Sci-Fi Channel is not airing any of Irwin's shows.
On a personal note we had my daughter Rachel's Baptism on September 26th. We had asked Mark Goddard a while back if he would do us the honor and be her Godfather. Mark agreed, and me and my wife Silvia were overjoyed. Mark and I have been friends for many years and we have stuck together through thick and thin and when the question of Godfather came up we felt there was no one else to ask but Mark. The Church ceremony went well as did the dinner. All my guests and family loved Mark. It was truly a wonderful day. I will post a few pics in my next newsletter.
That's about it for now. I have included a few autographed shots that the LIS cast signed for me last weekend In L.A. at the HCS. As always, stay safe and thanks to everyone who has supported the LIS cast and this website through the years. Your support is very much appreciated.
Until next time Same Time Same Channel.
