News on the Second Season Release
This July 5th the complete second season of LIS will be released overseas in PAL format. [SEE BOX ART]
The eight disc set will include all thirty episodes from the second season. The set will also contain a twenty minute stills montage accompanied by audio interviews. September is the due date for the second season of LIS here in the states. Recently Peter Stadddon from Fox stated that the second season dvd set may be split into two parts. Here's his response:

We are indeed looking at this option.

In an ideal world I would like to produce a complete Season 2 package. The sad reality
is that although Season 1 sold ok, it did not sell well enough for many accounts that
carried it to carry Season 2. Dividing it into two volumes and lowering the shelf price
is a way of getting the series into distribution. We are not trying to gouge the fan base
here we are trying to get the product on the shelf!

The combined pricepoints of volumes 1 and 2 should be pretty close to the pricepoint
of Season 1, we are not trying to make 1 + 1 = 3 here.

I just wanted to add that we are committed to releasing both volumes of Season 2 this year.
I believe volume 1 is in September and volume 2 is in November.

Thanks for your interest,

Peter Staddon

LIS Season 2 UK DVD Menus

It is official, the second season of LIS on DVD will be out in September.

This set will have some extras to it.

The one extra that Kevin mentioned is a series of interviews withJune, Guy and Jonathan that was on a vinyl record that was sent to the radio stations  to promote the start of the new second season of LIS. The record has been digitally remastered and the interviews will be heard for the first time in 40 years. These interviews will contain second season photos to accompany the audio. Kevin is working with Fox on this now.

Very encouraging to see Fox working on the DVDs already for a September release.

The second season DVD set is moving along very well.

I asked Kevin Burns about the possibility of having Fox add the "Lost In Space brought to you by"
clips as part of a bonus material on one of the discs. He likes the idea and already does have those mastered - if Fox would go for it, all he would have to do is submit them as part of the bonus material or as Easter Eggs.
